Moong Dal Pan Cake
Healthy whole green Moong Dal pan cake recipe
Ingredients :
1 cup whole green moong Dal
1 green chilly
1 inch ginger
1 tsp cumin / jeera
1/4 cup curd
1/4 cup poha /flatten rice
1/4 tsp turmeric
2 tbsp coriander
pinch hing / asafoetida
salt as per taste
water as required
Ghee for roasting
INSTRUCTIONS:
Firstly, in a large bowl soak 1 cup moong dal for 5 hours.or over night
drain off the water and transfer to the mixi jar.
Also add 1green chilli, 1 inch ginger and 1 tsp cumin.
blend to smooth paste adding water if required.transfer the batter to the bowl.Now dry grind poha add into batter also add ¼ tsp turmeric 1/4 cup curd , 2 tbsp coriander, pinch hing and salt.mix well adding 3 tbsp of water forming thick flowing consistency like chilla batter.further, pour a ladleful of batter onto a hot tawa and spread gently pour of ghee over pan cake .
Cover and allow cooking on a medium flame for a minute.
now flip the pan cake and cook both sides pressing gently.
finally, moong dal pan cake is ready to serve Lord with date chutney or green chutney.
