Whole wheat Naan

 



Ingredients :


Chapati Atta /Wheat Flour-2cups

 Salt-1tsp 

Baking Powder-1tsp 

 Baking Soda -1/4tsp 

Sugar-1-2tsp 

Ghee/Butter-2tbsp 

Curd -1 cup   

Yeast -1tsp

 Oil 


For whole wheat nan.

Take 2 cups regular chapati atta add salt 1 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp baking soda ( more precisely 2 pinch). Add little sugar 1 or 2 tsp,  2 tbsp ghee / butter, curds 1 cup. Knead it throughly. At the end add oil and knead well cover and keep for 1 or 2 hours.


For making nan the quick way.

Take 2 cups of chapati atta add sugar about 2 tsp   and salt . Add 1 cup curds 2 tbsp ghee / butter. 

Add yeast 1 tsp, in a separate bowl then add to this mixture. Knead well. Lastly, add little oil and coat the dough well after kneading so the flour no longer sticks your hand. 


Procedure

Take kalongi seeds in a bowl.

In another bowl take melted butter and fresh-cut coriander in a bowl keep ready.


Making nan

Pinch out a  small  dough from the kneaded doughroll it oblong shape like that of nan. Heat pan 

Apply water on one side of the rolled dough and place that side on the hot pan. On the side up sprinkle the kalongi seeds and press them so they stick to the surface. After a minute or 2, you see bubbles formed. Hold the pan over the flame on the nan side facing the flame. So it gets the tandoori-type flavor. 

When done take it our of the pan apply the coriander and butter over it.
