Malpua Recipe

Ingredients

Maida-1/4 cup 

Sooji -2tbsp 

Fennel Seeds

 Cardamom Powder 

Black pepper-Pinch 

Sugar-2tbsp 

Whole mile(little warm)-150gm 

Ghee 


Method

Take 1/4 cup maida, 2tbsp sooji, fennel seeds, cardamom powder and pinch of black pepper powder, 2 tbsp sugar, add little warm whole milk (150 gm) to it and mix everything nicely and keep it for fermenting for 9-10 hours (overnight). Sooji absorbs the milk, so add 2-3 tbsp of milk in the morning. My in laws adds curd too but I do not add it as its contrasting. Because of fermentation, it comes out really nice. Use only 4-5 drops of ghee for frying one malpua for deities but if its for devotees, you can use 2-3 drops of ghee as that’s the method they use in Shri Shri Radha Gopinath temple when they make it for Sanyasis and brahmacharis.
